Greetings rebels,
Welcome to the Extinction Rebellion South Australia Newsletter. If you’ve recently signed up, then thank you. It’s great to have you aboard.
Non-violent civil disobedience is a key strategy of Extinction Rebellion. In preparation for the next international rebellion we’re running The Festival of Civil Disobedience on Sunday 23rd February.
Come to this full day of activities to learn, skill up and be inspired for the next rebellion. Activists from past civil disobedience campaigns will be sharing their knowledge, connecting us to our history. We’ll look at recent XR actions, decision making skills and the required roles to make actions succeed. The day will finish with a large-scale role play to prepare you for action.
Where: The Joinery, 111 Franklin St, Adelaide
When: Sunday, February 23rd at 10 AM – 5 PM
Tickets are available now. Click here to get your ticket today.

Join us for the most disruptive and affecting show of the festival season.
This summer, bushfires have killed more than 1,000,000,000 animals. Between 2030 – 2050, the climate emergency will cause at least 250,000 human deaths per year. To bear witness to this tragedy, we will stage a funeral procession and die-in at a prominent festival location in Adelaide’s East-End.
At the die-in, we will lie on the ground under white shrouds. Our show will make it clear to thousands of festival goers that our government must act on behalf of life by taking immediate action on the climate emergency.

The growth of Extinction Rebellion has been explosive across the globe. Following from natural processes, Extinction Rebellion has a core ‘DNA’. This acts as the base for all our activities. The DNA includes: our demands, 10 principles and values, and our organisation structure. In this workshop you will learn more about these key characteristics of Extinction Rebellion and how you might fit into the growing Extinction Rebellion organism.
This workshop is the next step for those who’ve seen our Heading for Extinction talk and wish to contribute their skills and passion to the movement.
